About the HSL website
The HSL website is a web service maintained by the Helsinki Regional Transport Authority (HSL). To find out more about HSL, go to the section headed ‘What is HSL?’.
The HSL web service is available in Finnish, Swedish and English. The Swedish and English pages are less extensive than the Finnish pages.
Using the website
To use the website, simply browse any of the subject areas or enter textword in the search box. You can access the search function from any of the website pages. The path shown across the top of the page shows you where you are within the website.
From any of the English pages you can also go to the home page of the Swedish or Finnish versions of the web service, view the sitemap and send a feedback message.
The text size can be changed by zooming in or out with the ‘+’ or ‘-’ buttons.
The website’s Print command takes you straight to the print options window, which requires JavaScript. Alternatively, you can print using the print menu in your browser, which does not require JavaScript. If you use the website’s Print command, only the main body of text will be printed and not the sidebars outside the text frame.
Clicking on a link will open a new browser window if the information is on another website. Close the new window to return to the HSL website.
To read any of the PDF files on the website you will need to have Acrobat Reader, which can be downloaded free of charge from the Adobe website.
No personal data is collected from website users. A cookie is sent only if you click the text-size zoom in or zoom out buttons. The number of users is recorded.
Technical requirements
The HSL website is not a scalable website. It is designed for optimal operation at a resolution of 1024 x 768. If you have a lower resolution, the website content may not necessarily be fully visible, and if the resolution is higher, the website margins will include blank areas.
The website works best using Netscape Navigator version 7 or higher, Internet Explorer version 6.0 or higher, Mozilla or Firefox. It will not work properly with Netscape 4.x.
The website use cookies.
