Changes to bus stops in Helsinki as of 18 June
There are changes to bus stop arrangements in Helsinki. The changes come into effect on Monday 18 June. Under the new arrangements, Helsinki internal and regional buses going in the same direction stop at the same stops for example on Mannerheimintie, Vihdintie and Mäkelänkatu. The aim of the new arrangements is to make it easier to use bus services going in the same direction: passengers can take the first bus arriving at the stop without needing to walk from one stop to another.
In the new arrangements, traffic volumes are divided between stops to allow traffic to flow as smoothly as possible. For example, buses stopping at the stops along Mannerheimintie are divided so that the traffic volume is higher at the second stop in the direction of travel.
In addition, some stop names are changed in order to eliminate duplicate stop names.
Southbound bus routes running along Mannerheimintie are divided at the “Kuusitie/Granvägen” bus stops into routes going to Elielinaukio and routes going to Kamppi.

The following buses to Elielinaukio stop at stop 1920: 40, 42, 43, 63, 18N, 39N, 220N 231(K,N), 247(A), 248(A), 270(A,N), 315, 324(K,N), 345(N), 300N, 360(K), 361, 362(N,T), 363(A), 364, 415, 435, 451, 452(K), 453(Z), 474(A, AK, K, V, VK).
Stop 1922 is removed from service.
The following buses to Kamppi stop at stop 1924: 39, 39A, 41, 45, and U line buses 339, 346, 485–495.
Northbound buses running along Mannerheimintie are divided so that buses going to Vihdintie/Tukholmankatu stop at the first stop in the direction of travel and buses going to Hämeenlinnanväylä stop at the second stop in the direction of travel.
The new stop arrangements are:
“Hesperian puisto” stops

“Töölön kisahalli” stops

“Töölön tulli” stops

“Kuusitie” stops

“Tilkka” stops

“Ruskeasuo” stops

At the Talontie stops on Vihdintie, the northbound buses going to Vihdintie stop at the other stop, buses going to Pitäjänmäentie at the other stop.

Maununneva
On Kaarelantie, the bus stops (2313 and 2314) used by bus 42 called “Venäläinen koulu/Ryska skolan” are renamed “Kaarelankuja/Kårbölegränden”.
Vallila
Bus 77 no longer uses the “Paavalin kirkko” bus stop (3025) on Hämeentie. Instead, it stops at the “Paavalin kirkko" bus stop (3027) located on the other side of the Haukilahdenkatu junction.

Itäkeskus
In Itäkeskus, eastbound buses running along Turunlinnantie are divided at the “Puotinharju” bus stops so that the buses going to Ring Road I (Kehä I) stop at the other stop and buses going to Vanhanlinnantie and in the direction of Vuosaari stop at the other stop.
The new stop arrangements are:
The following buses stop at stop 4272: J91, J95, 90A, 90N, 93(K), 95, 97(N), and U line buses 830–870.
The following buses stop at stop 4274: 54, 94(N), 512K, 519(A), 520.
Hakaniemi
On Hakaniemen torikatu, the departure stop of buses 51 and 73, and the stop used by passing buses are reversed.
The new stop arrangements are:
Buses 16, 53 and 503 stop at stop 2502.
Buses 51 and 73 use stop 2504.
Lauttasaari
On Lauttasaarentie, buses going to the city center (excluding U line buses) stop at the same stops as Helsinki internal buses.
The new stop arrangements are:
The following buses stop at stop 1024: 20, 65A, 66A, J20, J21, 102T, 103T, 106T, 109T, 110T, 110TA, 111T, 121AT, 121T, 143T, 147KT, 147T, 154T, 160KT, 160T.
The following buses stop at stop 1022: 167T, 175MT, 177XT, 178MT.
The following buses stop at stop 1020: 20, 65A, 66A, 102T, 103T, 106T, 109T, 110T, 110TA, 111T, 121AT, 121T, 143T, 147KT, 147T, 154T, 160KT, 160T.
On Vattuniemenkatu, the “Vattuniemi/Hallonnäs” bus stops (1047 and 1048) used by buses 21V and 20V are renamed “Nahkahousuntie/Skinnbyxvägen”.
Viikki
In Viikki, there are two pairs of bus stops called “Latokartano/Ladugården”. In order to avoid confusion, stops 3240 and 3241 used by buses 74, 74N and 506 are renamed “Viikin tiedepuisto/Viks forskarpark” so that their name is the same as that of the stops of the Jokeri route located right next to them.
The “Pihlajamäentie ramppi/ Rönnbackavägen ramp” bus stop (3478) is renamed “Viikki/Vik” so that its name is the same as that of the other stops located at the same intersection.
In future, buses 74 and 74N to Puistola and bus 79 to Malmi will use stop 3242 “Viikki/Vik” so that all buses toing to Malmi and Pihlajamäki use the same stop located under the Lahdenväylä bridge.
Bus 79 no longer uses the “Pihlajamäentien/Rönnbackavägen” stop (3464) on Latokartanonkaari.
Stop 3463 in the direction of Herttoniemi is renamed “Viikki/Vik”.
The new stop arrangements are:
The following buses stop at stop 3242: 70(T), 73(N), 74(N), 75, 79, 05N.
Stop 3464 is removed from service.
Maunula
Buses 66A and 67 no longer use the “Käskynhaltijantie/ Ståthållarvägen” bus stop (2443) in the northbound direction. Instead, the buses stop at the “Tuusulanväylä/Tusbyleded" bus stop (2233) of the Jokeri route. Also bus 516 starts to use the same stop. Under the new arrangements, buses 51, 66A, 67 and 516 running in the direction of Maunula all stop at the same stop, while stop 2443 is used only by northbound buses.

On Mäkelänkatu, bus 516 from the city center stops at the same stop as other buses going to Maunula, while bus 70V uses the same stop as regional buses of the 600 series.
The “Päijänteentie/Päijännevägen” bus stops 0333, 0334, 2415, 2416 and 2417 located on Mäkelänkatu are renamed “Vallilan kirjasto/Vallgårds bibliotek” to avoid confusion with the “Päijänteentie/Päijännevägen” bus stops (2177, 2178) located on Teollisuuskatu.
On Mäkelänkatu, the “Koskelant. risteys/Forsbyv. Korsning” bus stops 0275, 0276, 2435 and 2436 are renamed “Koskelantie / Forsbyvägen”.
