Lots of changes to bus routes as of 13 August

The routes of several buses in the Helsinki region will change when HSL’s public transport services switch to winter timetables on 13 August. Most of the changes affect the southern and western parts of Helsinki.

Some of the routes along the most congested streets in the city centre will be diverted to other streets in order to increase speed and reliability.

The connections to the Western Terminal in Helsinki will change. The route of tram 9 will be extended to Jätkäsaari. The terminus of the route will be at the West Terminal. Tram 9 will replace bus 15A, which is withdrawn. Also bus 15V is withdrawn. Bus 15 will run along the route Ruoholahti (M) –Salmisaari.

Some of the night buses in Helsinki and some of those running from Helsinki to Espoo are withdrawn. They are replaced by new N services on regional bus routes.

There will be changes  also to the internal bus routes in Vantaa, Espoo and Kerava.

Helsinki region public transport services switch to autumn timetables on Monday 13 August. Autumn timetables are already available in the Journey Planner for dates from 13 August onwards. The search result links, however, still take you to stop and route-specific summer timetables.
