Discover the sights of the Helsinki region by bus, train, tram or the metro.

One ticket for all modes of transport

Helsinki region has an integrated public transport ticket system. Tickets are valid on public transport services in Helsinki, Espoo, Kauniainen, Vantaa, Kerava and Kirkkonummi. The same ticket can be used for traveling on buses, trams, the metro, commuter trains and the ferry to Suomenlinna. You can also transfer from one vehicle to another with the same ticket.

A day ticket is your key to getting around in the Helsinki metropolitan area. The tickets available on single-charge cards include easy to use and economic 1-7 day tickets. You can choose a Helsinki internal ticket or a regional ticket valid in Helsinki, Espoo, Kauniainen and Vantaa. 

Single tickets are available from ticket machines, bus and tram drivers as well as conductors on commuter trains.

The best sights in Helsinki are accessible by bus, tram or the metro

A Helsinki internal ticket takes you to Linnanmäki amusement park, Seurasaari outdoor museum or Villa Aino Ackté. Tram route 3B/3T is ideal for city sightseeing. You can get on the tram at any stop, the tour takes about 60 minutes.

Bus 11 goes from Rautatientori (Central Railway Station) platform 8 to Mustikkamaa from where you can cross the bridge to the Helsinki Zoo in Korkeasaari.

With a Helsinki internal ticket you can travel to the Suomenlinna sea fortress by a ferry from Kauppatori (Market Square) and Katajanokka. If you want to spend an entire day in the fortress, a Suomenlinna ticket valid for 12 hours is practical.

You can reach also the ports easily by public transport. Tram routes 4 and 4T go to Katajanokka Terminal and Kanava Terminal, while tram routes 3B and 3T take you to Makasiini Terminal and Olympia Terminal. The West Terminal is served by bus 15 from Ruoholahti and bus 15A from Elielinaukio next to the Central Railway Station.

To Espoo by train or bus

To go to Emma - Espoo Museum of Modern Art in by WeeGee House take a bus from Kamppi bus terminal Elielin aukio. Also the Gallen-Kallela Museum, Espoo Cathedral and the Sello and Iso Omena shopping centres can be conveniently reached by public transport.  A bus takes you to the outdoor recreation areas of Luukkaa, Oittaa and Nuuksio.

Vantaa by train or bus

Commuter trains I, K, N, H, R, T and Z take you to Heureka science centre in Vantaa. Entertainment and leisure centre Flamingo and Jumbo shopping centre can be reached by bus, Myyrmanni shopping centre by train. To go to the Helsinki Airport, take bus 615 from Rautatientori in Helsinki (platform 5).  A regional ticket is required for journeys from Helsinki to the Airport and from the Airport to Helsinki. You can get to the airport also by bus 61 from Tikkurila railway station.
