Bus strike ends

The strike of The Finnish Transport Workers’ Union AKT started on Tuesday 2 March at 6pm is over.

Services will return to normal gradually. 4 March, some services may be cancelled but all bus routes will be providing service.

Period ticket refunds due to bus strike

If you cannot use your Travel Card during the strike without major inconvenience, HSL can compensate you for the loss incurred by the strike. Refunds are considered on a case by case basis upon application submitted to HSL.

The claim for refund has to be submitted within two months of the strike ending. Detailed instructions are available on HSL's website (in Finnish) . You can also contact a Travel Card service point for more information. Application form in English is available below.
