Ferries to Suomenlinna

Ferry service between the Suomenlinna sea fortress and the Market Square began in 1952.  The service operates throughout the year. In summer, tourists and other visitors increase the passenger numbers significantly. 

HSL is responsible for the planning and procurement of the passenger ferry service to Suomenlinna.  The services are operated by Suomenlinnan Lauttaliikenne Oy, which is owned half and half by HKL and the State of Finland.
