Blind persons
Those blind persons (degree of disability 90%) who are permanent residents in the validity area of HSL's regional tickets are entitled to free regional Travel Cards provided they meet certain criteria.
Blind persons have a right to a companion, who is also entitled to free travel. Visually impaired passengers accompanied by a guide dog or using a white stick do not have to show the Travel Card to the card reader.
Documents needed when purchasing a Travel Card
- Card user’s official identification document (an official identity card, passport, Kela card with a photograph).
- A medical certificate from an eye specialist
