Temporary service points for students from 2 August

HSL sets up temporary service points for students for updating their Travel Card information. The first temporary service point was opened on Monday 2 August at the University of Helsinki. A temporary service point at Aalto University in Otaniemi will open in mid-August and a third service point at Metropolia on Bulevardi will open on 23 August.

At these temporary service points, students can change or update their customer group information on personal Travel Cards. The students need to have with them a proof of identity (an official ID card, passport or a Kela card with photograph) as well as a valid SAMOK, SYL or SAKKI ry student card with a current term sticker on it. Students can also apply for the discount by filling in an HSL discount ticket application form. The application form needs to be stamped by the educational institution.

The right for discount can be loaded only on personal Travel Cards. Personal Travel Cards are available from HSL’s service points. The card costs EUR 5.  Students get a 50 % discount on  both internal and regional period and value tickets. The temporary service points do not sell Travel Cards, but you can load period tickets or value at them. Payment is possible by bank or credit card.
