Tram 7B diverted, tram 9 replaced by bus from 16 to 18 July

Due to track work on Rautatieläisenkatu in Pasila tram route 7B will be diverted and tram 9 will not operate at all from 6pm on Friday 16 July to the end of night service on Sunday 18 July. Tram route 9 will be replaced by bus 9X between Hakaniemi and Pasila. Also buses 69 and 506 are diverted in Pasila en route to Malmi/Viikki. 

Tram 7B will run from Hakaniemi via Kallio and Eläintarha to Nordenskiöldinkatu from where it will resume its normal route. Hämeentie, Mäkelänkatu and Pasila will not be served. The following tram stops will be out of service for the duration of the diversion: Lautatarhankatu (0331), Päijänteentie (0333).  Hattulantie (0265), Rautalammintie (0267), Mäkelänrinne (0269), Uintikeskus (0271), Radanrakentajantie (0618), Kellosilta (0616), Messukeskus (0614) and Pasilan asema (0612).

Tram route 7A will operate its normal route via Pasila and Mäkelänkatu.

Tram route 9 will not operate at all from Friday evening to the end of Sunday service. Tram 9 will be in part replaced by bus 9X. The bus will run between Hakaniemi and Pasila at about 10-minute intervals on Friday and Saturday and on Sunday at 12-minute intervals. The bus will mainly run the route of tram 9 and stop at most of the stops of tram 9. However, the bus will not run via Karhupuisto and Kaarlenkatu in Kallio but it will run straight along Fleminginkatu. In Itä-Pasila the bus will run in both directions along Asemapäällikönkatu, i.e. it will not run via Ratamestarinkatu and the Fair Centre. En route to Länsi-Pasila bus 9X will use bus stop number 2101 on Pasilansilta.

There will be no replacement bus service for tram 9 between Kolmikulma and Hakaniemi. Tram routes 3B, 6, 7A and 7B, as well as the metro and several bus services run between the city centre and Hakaniemi.

In Länsi-Pasila bus 9X will replace also tram route 7B. A transfer connection between the bus and tram will be available at Eläintarha stop. Several bus routes running to the north serve passengers on Hämeentie and Mäkelänkatu.

Also buses 69 and 506 diverted in Pasila

The track work will affect also bus routes 69 and 506. Bus 69 in direction of Malmi and bus 506 in direction of Viikki will run from Ratapihantie/Pasilansilta via Asemapäällikonkatu, Ratamestarinkatu and Rautatieläisenkatu to Ratapihantie. Bus stop Pasilan asema (stop number 2181) on Ratapihantie will be out of service. Instead, bus 69 will use a temporary bus stop close to the junction of Ratapihantie and Asemapäällikönkatu. Bus 506 will use bus stop Pasilan asema (2100) on Pasilansilta. The buses will not stop at other bus stops along the diversion route.
