Metro services in the summer

As of 18 June, the Metro runs at 8-minute intervals. The trains run between Ruoholahti and Mellunmäki, and Itäkeskus and Vuosaari. Passengers going to Vuosaari must change trains in Itäkeskus. 

The reduced service is due to the renovation of the Siilitie metro station. During the renovation, the trains can only use one track when passing the station. The Metro will resume its normal operation on 30 July.

Break in the Helsinki city center Metro service in July

The Metro will not operate between Kulosaari and Ruoholahti from 14 through 22 July. During this time, the Metro will run only between Mellunmäki and Kulosaari, and between Vuosaari and Itäkeskus. The Metro will run at 8-minute intervals. 

There will be replacement buses between eastern Helsinki and the city center. Buses 99 from Itäkeskus and 99B from Herttoniemi will run to the city center every 8 minutes. In addition, feeder buses from Herttoniemi will run to Hakaniemi under route numbers 80X, 81X, 82X, 85X, 86X and 88X.
