Suomenlinna ferry switches to summer timetables on 30 April
Ferry services will operate at increased frequency in the summer time. On weekdays, the ferries operate approximately every 20 minutes and on weekends even more frequently.
HSL opens a ticket office at the Market Square ferry terminal on Friday 30 April. The ticket office is open until the end of August every day and it sells single tickets, one-day tickets and Suomenlinna tickets (paper tickets). Tickets are valid from the moment of purchase. Payment is possible only by cash.
All regular HSL’s tickets are accepted on the Suomenlinna ferry. The Suomenlinna ticket is valid for 12 hours from the time it is first used. It is valid only on the ferry to Suomenlinna and it does not include a right to transfer to other public transport modes.
Suomenlinna tickets are also available on single-charge cards are that can be purchased at R kiosks in the Helsinki metropolitan area, at Stockmann department stores and Travel Card service points in Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa. Adult tickets costs EUR 3.80 and child tickets (7-16 years) cost EUR 1.90.
You can also purchase a paper ticket from ticket machines at Kauppatori and Katajanokka ferry terminals. These ticket machines also sell tickets for groups of 2-31 passengers (adults or children). The whole group can travel under one ticket. The size of the group (i.e. number of people), fare per person and the total price are printed on the ticket.
