Diversions to tram routes in Helsinki city centre on 18 – 20 June

Tram tracks are being replaced at the junction of Mannerheimintie and Aleksanterinkatu. Due to the track work, tram routes 3B, 3T, 4, 4T, 6, 7A, 7B, 9 and 10 will be diverted from 5pm on Friday 18 June to the end of service on Sunday 20 June.

Tram route 3B will run from Hakaniemi via Kruununhaka to the Market Square ending up at the terminus of tram route 1. Kaisaniemi, Central Railway Station, Erottaja and Eira will not be served. The tram will not run along Fredrikinkatu. Fredrikinkatu will be served by bus 14 from Kamppi and Eira. Tehtaankatu will be served by tram route 3T. 

The route of tram 3T will be extended from Kaivopuisto to Perämiehenkatu ending up at the terminus of tram 1A.

Trams 4 and 4T will run via the Central Railway Station and Mikonkatu between Lasipalatsi and the Senate Square. This means that the trams will not serve the Ylioppilastalo tram stop on Aleksanterinkatu.

Bus 6X to Hietalahti

The route of tram 6 will be shortened to terminate at a temporary terminus on Mikonkatu (stop of buses 65A and 66A). The route section from the Central Railway Station via Bulevardi to Hietalahti will not be served. A replacement bus 6X will serve this route section. The bus will run the route Hietalahti – Bulevardi – Central Railway Station every 10 minutes. 

Bus 6X will use tram stops on Bulevardi and in Hietalahti excluding the Köydenpunojankatu stop in Hietalahdenranta. In the city centre, the bus will use the bus stops located by the Sokos department store on Kaivokatu and the stops located by Erottaja on Mannerheimintie. 

The bus will operate at the following times:
- Fri 18 June: from Hietalahti 5.59pm – 11.29pm and from the entral Railway Station 5.40pm – 11.10pm
- Sat 19 June: from Hietalahti 7.59am – 11.29pm and from the Central Railway Station 7.40am – 11.10pm
- Sun 20 June: from Hietalahti 9.09am – 11.39pm and from the Central Railway Station 8.50am – 11.20pm

Trams 7A and 7B will run via the Central Railway Station. The trams will not serve Aleksanterinkatu and Kruununhaka. Kruununhaka will be served by tram 3B.

Trams 9 and 10 terminate at the Central Railway Station

The route of tram 9 will terminate at the Central Railway Station stop on Kaivokatu, from where the tram will continue as tram 10 along Mannerheimintie to Pikku Huopalahti. Tram 9 will not serve Kolmikulma. 
Also the route of tram 10 will terminate at the Central Railway Station stop, from where the tram will continue as tram 9 to Hakaniemi. Tram 10 will not operate the route section between Lasipalatsi and Kirurgi. The route section Erottaja - Korkeavuorenkatu will be served by bus 16.

More diversion routes on Sunday

On Sunday 20 June, the Karelian Summer Festival parade beginning at around 12.15pm will cause traffic delays on Mikonkatu, Kaivokatu and Mannerheimintie. Tram routes 3T, 4 and 4T will run via Kaisaniemenkatu and Kruununhaka until about 1.30pm.
