If you are a student and have just moved to the HSL area, you will be entitled to the discount once information on your domicile has been updated in the population information system.
The population information system must show that you have a permanent address in the HSL area in order to be entitled to a student discount on the HSL app or HSL card. When this information is updated in the population information system of the Digital and Population Data Services Agency depends on the processing time for notifications of move. You can view your own information in the population information system by logging into the Suomi.fi identification service.
