City bike season is underway despite challenging conditions

In Helsinki and Espoo, the majority of city bike stations are already operational. More stations are being installed all the time, but you may also come across unfinished stations. Please use the Journey Planner to see the bike stations currently in use and always return your city bike to a station in use.

City bike season is underway despite challenging conditions. The bikes are already ubiquitous on the streets and there are a lot of subscribers. Users have already taken more than 36,000 rides in Helsinki and Espoo. Due to the snowy winter, some bike stations are still being worked on in Helsinki and Espoo but all stations will be installed by the end of April.

The Journey Planner shows you the city bike stations in use

Use the Journey Planner to check that the bike stations along your route are in use. The Journey Planner shows the locations of bike stations, the number of bikes available at each station and routes to the stations in real-time. The stations in use are marked on the map with a yellow bike icon. The number on green background indicates the number of bikes available at the station in question. Bike stations that are not yet in use are shown on the map in grey, with a red cross instead of the number of bikes. By planning your route carefully you can avoid unpleasant surprises and return your bike to a station of your choice. Please do not try to return your bike to a station that is not yet in use.
