A reminder for students: discount tickets are no longer available on the HSL card. Discount tickets can be bought using the HSL app. If you are a full-time student living permanently in the HSL area, you can buy season tickets at a 45% discount using the HSL app.

You can activate the discount in the HSL app and the app will verify your discount entitlement from the My Studyinfo service of the Finnish National Agency for Education. This means you do not need to visit a service point to prove your discount entitlement.
You can buy discount tickets on your HSL card only if it is not possible to verify your discount entitlement from the My Studyinfo service. More information about these exceptional cases is available here.
Purchasing tickets using the HSL app is easy. Always use the latest version of the app for best performance. Check your app store for the latest version of the HSL app and if need be, update your app.
Please ensure that your phone has enough battery power for the duration of the journey so that you can show your ticket when prompted.
