Tram route 9 will be extended from Pasila to Ilmala from Monday 17 October. The tram will run via Pasilankatu and Radiokatu to Ilmalantori, next to Ilmala station. Ilmala station will become a new interchange between trams and commuter trains.

The extension of tram route 9 to Ilmala is part of the tram network plan developed in 2015. The route extension will improve public transport links in both Ilmala and Pasila.

The route of tram 7 will also change on 17 October: the route will be extended from Pasila station to Länsi-Pasila. The tram will run along Pasilanraitio and Pasilankatu. The new terminus will be at Maistraatintori.
Between 17 and 30 October, the terminus will be the previous stop "Kyllikinportti". The terminus at Maistraatintori will not be in use before October 31 due to construction work near the stop.

Both trams will run across the Pasilansilta bridge and serve the stops on the bridge at Pasila station. The tram stops on Ratapihantie will no longer be served.

The new timetables and routes and already available in the Journey Planner. Remember to enter a search date after 17 October.
