Summer timetables into effect on Monday 19 June

Public transport services will switch to summer timetables on Monday 19 June. Summer timetables will run from 19 June to 13 August. There will also be some service and route changes for trains, trams and buses.

The metro will start its summer service

The metro will start its summer service on 19 June. The metro will run less frequently in the early morning and late evening. Read more about the metro summer timetables here

Changes to commuter train services

R and T trains will not stop at Ainola station between 19 June and 9 December due to track work. Replacement bus 969X will run between Ainola and Järvenpää.

D trains will be cancelled and some R trains will run to Hämeenlinna at corresponding times. In addition, R trains will operate a reduced service and there will be changes to Z and R train times.

K, I and P trains will continue to operate a reduced service throughout the summer. Read more about changes to main line and Ring Rail Line train services from 2 May.

Changes to tram services

Tram 2 will run to Maistraatintori in Länsi-Pasila instead of Ilmantori 19 June to 13 August due to construction work on Ilmalankuja. Read more. 

Tram route 4 will be diverted in Katajanokka 19–25 June, 10–16 July and 7–13 August. The tram will run to Katajanokka Terminal under route number 4T. The “Vyökatu”, “Ulkoministeriö” and “Merisotilaantori” stops will not be served. At the same time, tram 5 will run to Kolmikulma instead of the Central Railway Station. The diversion is due to street lighting repair work. Read more.

Changes to bus services

There will be minor changes to some bus routes.

There will be changes to the departure bays for bus routes 171Z and 173Z at the Matinkylä bus terminal and Kirkkonummi Travel Center. Read more.

The departure stop of bus 121 will change. The new departure stop is the “Kuunkehrä” stop. The bus will continue to serve the former departure stop, “Kuunsilta”. Read more.

The terminus of bus 182A will move back to Hotel Siuntio. The bus will no longer serve the “Tyyskyläntie”, “Västerby” and “Lappersintien rist.” stops. Read more.

A new bus route 712 will start running between Tikkurila and Kuusijärvi on Saturday 24 June. The bus will run throughout the summer, until 13 August. The bus will run every 60 minutes on Saturdays and Sundays. Read more.

Summer opening hours of HSL’s service point

Between 26 June and 30 July, the HSL service point at the Helsinki Central Railway Station will be open Monday to Friday 9pm to 6pm and Saturdays 9.30am to 5pm. The service point will be closed on Sundays. Our customer service line will be open as usual, i.e. Monday to Friday 7.30am to 7pm and Saturdays and Sundays 9.30am to 5pm.
