Changes to how payment methods are listed in the HSL app

New amendments will be made to the Consumer Protection Act on 1 October 2023, which will also affect the HSL app. The previously used payment method will no longer remain as the default option in the app, but the desired payment method must be selected separately for each purchase. In addition, the order in which the payment methods available for ticket purchases are listed in the HSL app will change.

HSL will adhere to the new amendments made to the Consumer Protection Act that stipulate that the payment methods that do not include the possibility to apply for or use credit must be displayed first on the list of payment methods. Next on the list are such payment methods that may include the possibility to apply for or use credit or some other form of payment extension. Those payment methods that require applying for or using credit or other some other form of payment extension will be displayed last on the list.

The changes will be included in the next app version (5.4.0). The new version of the app, made available in the app stores from 19 September, will be become available to all users gradually within a week or so.
