Changes to lost property services from 8 September to 10 October
If you have lost something on a bus, tram, metro, commuter train, citybike basket or Suomenlinna ferry, you can contact Suomen Löytötavarapiste between 8 September and 10 October 2023. Suomen Löytötavarapiste has a lost property office in the Kamppi shopping center in Helsinki. The street address is Narinkka 3.
You can inquire about lost items by visiting the office during its opening hours, by calling the service number or by filling out an online form. You can find the opening hours and contact details on the website of Suomen Löytötavarapiste (in Finnish): https://www.metrosuutarit.fi/suomen-loytotavarapiste-h-t-p-palvelut/
Calling the service number and filling out the online form are subject to an additional charge, whereas inquiring about a lost item at the lost property office in the Kamppi shopping center in person is free of charge. As it may take a day or two for your lost item to be found and received by the lost property office, we advise you to contact the office two days following the loss of your item at the earliest.
HSL normally uses the services of Suomen Löytötavarapalvelu Oy. However, the offices of Suomen Löytötavarapalvelu Oy in Helsinki and Vantaa will remain closed between 10 September and 11 October 2023 due to the fact that the Regional State Administrative Agency has ordered the company to suspend their business activity temporarily.
If you have lost something on a public transport vehicle before 8 September 2023, you can contact Suomen Löytötavarapalvelu to inquire about your lost items from 11 October 2023 onwards. During the one-month suspension, no lost property will be transferred from Suomen Löytötavarapalvelu to Suomen Löytötavarapiste.
