Opening of HSL Ticket Store postponed; ticket machines and multi-user HSL cards to remain in use longer

We will postpone the transition to a new backend system from June to the fall. This delay will affect the timing of the opening of the new HSL Ticket Store, the shutdown of large ticket machines, and the discontinuation of multi-user HSL cards. The large ticket machines will be shut down and multi-user HSL cards will be discontinued once we start transitioning our services to the new backend system in the fall. The HSL Ticket Store will open once the transition is complete.

We are currently overhauling the payment and use of tickets as well as our backend systems. The new HSL Ticket Store, the shutdown of ticket machines, and the discontinuation of multi-user HSL cards are all part of this project. The project is a vast undertaking, involving numerous sub-projects and the upgrading of various technical systems.

All subsystems must be technically ready and thoroughly tested, and the implementation details carefully verified before they can be put into use. Unfortunately, not all services and platforms can be sufficiently tested within the previously estimated schedule, which is why an additional three weeks have been allocated for the preparations.
