We apologize for the further delay in launching the online top-up service for HSL cards. For now, you can top up your HSL card as before at the large ticket machines, R-kiosks, Alepa, S-market, and Prisma stores, as well as at HSL and municipal service points.
You can buy all types of tickets using the HSL app and adult single tickets using contactless payment. We will temporarily lower the price of single tickets purchased with contactless payment between 28 May and 31 August, so that they cost the same as single tickets bought using the HSL app or HSL card. Summer is the time for leisure journeys, and the discount on contactless payment is meant to encourage everyone to try the easy way of buying public transport tickets.
Unfortunately, we cannot complete all components of the new ticketing backend system within the planned schedule. This is a large-scale project involving the integration of many technical systems, and we are not yet ready to deploy the new system. We apologize for the inconvenience caused to customers.
HSL's current ticketing backend system was introduced in 2016 and is now nearing the end of its lifecycle, making the overhaul timely. With the new backend system, we will introduce a new HSL Ticket Store. Once the new system is in use, digital transactions and purchases will be easier, and a wider range of self-service options will be available. Along with the new HSL Ticket Store, an HSL account will be introduced for HSL card customers to easily access their travel and ticket information.
