Diversions to bus routes due to Helsinki City Run on 4 May

Almost 20,000 runners will take to the streets of Helsinki on
Saturday 5 May for the Helsinki City Run half-marathon. The course
travels around Töölönlahti via Alppila and Kallio to the Central
Park.  From there, the runners continue to Ruskeasuo and Pikku
Huopalahti and via the Central Park to the finish line at the
Olympic Stadium.

Helsinginkatu will be mainly closed to traffic between
Mannerheimintie and Sturenkatu/Helsinginkatu/Kolmas linja from 3pm
to 4.15pm. Bus routes 53 and 70T will be diverted.

Bus
53 will run via the Central Railway Station in
both directions. The bus will run along Haapaniemenkatu –
Hakaniemenranta – Siltasaarenkatu – Kaisaniemenkatu – Vilhonkatu –
Mikonkatu – Kaivokatu – Mannerheimintie – Arkadiankatu –
Runeberginkatu – Topeliuksenkatu.

Bus
70T will run via Nordenskiöldinkatu along
Fredrikinkatu – Arkadiankatu – Runeberginkatu – Topeliuksenkatu –
Nordenskiöldinkatu – Savonkatu – Aleksis Kivenkatu –
Sturenkatu.

In addition, U line buses which normally run along
Helsinginkatu, will run via Nordenskiöldinkatu, Savonkatu and
Aleksis Kiven katu to Sturenkatu/Itäväylä.
