Diversions to bus routes due to Naisten Kymppi on 26 May

On Sunday 26 May, there will be delays to traffic
approximately from 1pm onwards due to the Naisten Kymppi sporting
event. Bus route 24 will be diverted in Etu-Töölö and Meilahti from
1pm to 3pm. In addition, some services on routes 776, 840 and 840
will be diverted.

Mäntymäentie will be closed to traffic from 8am to 5pm. On
Mannerheimintie, traffic will be occasionally stopped between
Helsinginkatu and Pohjoinen Hesperiankatu between 1pm and 1.55pm. 

Pohjoinen Hesperiankatu, Merikannontie and Seurasaarentie
will be closed to traffic for the duration of the event.

When Pohjoinen Hesperiankatu is closed to traffic, about
1pm-3pm, bus 24 will run to Merikatu directly along Mechelininkatu,
i.e. the bus will not serve Hietaniemi. The following bus stops
will not be served: Taivallahti (1282), Hietakannaksentie (1259),
Krematorio (1270), Arkadiankatu (1268), and Väinämöisenkatu (1266).
In the other direction, the bus will run via Hietaniemi as normal.

The map below shows the diversion route of bus 24 in green. 


Approximately from 1pm to 3pm bus 24 will not run to
Seurasaari. Instead, the bus will run along Paciuksenkatu to the
terminus of bus 52 at Munkkiniemen aukio. Bus stops along
Seurasaarentie will not be served.

U line bus 840, the 1.02pm service from Kamppi and
12.25pm service from Kilpilahdentie will run along
Mannerheimintie–Nordenskiöldinkatu–Savonkatu–Aleksis Kiven katu.

Also the 1.07pm service of bus
776 and 1.32pm service of bus
870 from Kamppi will run via Nordenskiöldinkatu,
Savonkatu and Aleksis Kiven katu.
