Naisten Kymppi is the largest women’s sporting event in Finland with some 18,000 runners every year.
The runners will leave from Mäntymäentie between 1pm and 1.30pm. However, Mäntymäentie will be closed to traffic from 8am to 5pm. Helsinginkatu will be closed to traffic approximately from 12.55pm to 2.10pm.
Tram 8 will run in both directions via Nordenskiöldinkatu 12.45pm-2.15pm. The tram will run along Runeberginkatu, Mannerheimintie, Nordenskiöldinkatu, Viipurinkatu, Porvoonkatu, Läntinen Brahenkatu and Helsinginkatu. The Ooppera, Kaupunginpuutarha, Linnanmäki and Urheilutalo tram stops on Helsinginkatu will not be served.
During this time, U line buses 776, 840 and 870 will run along Mannerheimintie, Nordenskiöldinkatu, Savonkatu and Aleksis Kiven katu.
The following services will use the diversion route:
<ul><li>Route 840 from Kamppi at 1pm and 2pm and from Kilpilahdentie at 12.25pm and 12.55pm</li>
<li>Route 776 from Kamppi at 1.03pm</li>
<li>Route 870 from Kamppi at 1.30pm</li>
</ul>
