Tram route 9 will be diverted to run via Kaarlenkatu and Läntinen Brahenkatu to Sturenkatu on Saturday 11 June from 9.30am to 11.30am. The terminus will be at the "Paavalin kirkko" stop. The tram will not serve the section of route via Fleminginkatu and Aleksis Kiven katu to Pasila.
The following stops will not be served: ”Helsinginkatu” (0250 and 0651), ”Fleminginkatu” (0652 and 0653), ”Sturenkatu” (0654 and 0655), ”Kotkankatu” (0656 and 0657), ”Pasilan konepaja” (0658 and 0659), ”Jämsänkatu” (0660 and 0661), ”Asemapäällikönkatu” (0662 and 0663), ”Kellosilta” (0616), ”Messukeskus” (0614) and ”Pasilan asema” (0612.
The diversion is due to Helsinki Half Marathon. Runners will leave from Karamzinikatu at 8.45am and the finish line is by Finlandia Hall. Some 2,000 runners are expected to participate in the event. The event may cause delays to traffic on Töölönlahdenkatu around the start and delays are expected to route 14 when runners cross Munkkisaarenkatu, as well as to route 55 when runners cross Hermannin rantatie.
