Tram routes 1A, 2, 3, 4, 7A and 7B will be diverted on Tuesday 13 December from about 5.45pm to 7pm due to Lucia Parade. The trams will be partly replaced by buses 3X and 4X.
Tram 1A will run along Unioninkatu, Kaisaniemenkatu, Kaivokatu, Mannerheimintie, Bulevardi, Fredrikinkatu, Laivurinkatu and Tehtaankatu. Snellmaninkatu, the Market Square, Laivasillankatu and Tehtaankatu will not be served.
Trams 2 and 3 will run along Mannerheimintie, Bulevardi, Fredrikinkatu and Tehtaankatu to the terminus of tram 1A on Pursimiehenkatu.
A replacement bus 3X will run between Viiskulma and the Market Square. The bus will leave from the “Viiskulma” bus stop 1174 in Viiskulma and in Eteläranta from the “Eteläranta” stop 0433. The bus will run from Viiskulma via Laivurinkatu, Tehtaankatu, Laivasillankatu and Eteläranta to the Market Square. It will serve all tram stops along the route.
Tram 4 will run between Munkkiniemi and Kolmikulma. Bus 4X will replace the trams between Lasipalatsi and Katajanokka. The bus will leave from the “Postitalo” bus stop (2038) and run along Postikatu, Kaivokatu, Kaisaniemenkatu, Liisankatu, Pohjoisranta, Kanavakatu, Satamakatu, Kruunuvuorenranta and Linnankatu to Merikasarminkatu.
Trams 7A and 7B will run via Kaivokatu. The trams will not serve Aleksanterinkatu, Snellmaninkatu and Liisankatu.
The Lucia Parade will start from the Senate Square at about 6pm and proceed along Snellmaninkatu, Aleksanterinkatu, Mannerheimintie and Pohjoisesplanadi back to the Senate Square. The parade may cause delays to traffic.
