There will be changes to bus stops in Kalasatama from Friday 1 September when the Itäväylä detour is permanently closed. Buses 16, 50, 58/B, 59, 85N-97N, 90A and 841N to Kulosaari will start using the new bus stop on the Kulosaari Bridge from Friday morning 9 September and at the same time the old Kalasatama bus stop on Itäväylä (H2558) will be permanently closed. Also bus 26 will no longer serve the stop but the route of bus 26 will not change. The new bus stop on the Kulosaari Bridge can be accessed via stairs from Kyläsaarenkatu. All eastbound traffic will run via the new tunnel from Friday evening 11.45pm.
The new bus stop on the Kulosaari Bridge is not completely accessible because the only access from the stop to Kalasatama is via stairs. (Wheelchair) accessible transport links to the Kalasatama residential area from the city center are provided by route 26 or the Metro. From Pasila, it is advisable to take tram 7 and change to the Metro at the Sörnäinen(M) stop.
In addition, the route of buses 55 and 56 will change on 1 September 11:45pm. The buses will no longer run via Vanha Talvitie. The buses will have new stops along the new route, "Kalasatama (H3004, H3005) on Työpajankatu and "Agroksenkuja" (H3006) on Hermannin rantatie. At the same time the "Kalasatama" (H2554, H2555) and "Agroksenkuja" (H3520) on Vanha Talvitie will be closed.
