The "Konemestarinkatu" H4008 and H4009 bus stops located on Itäväylä will be closed from Monday 23 April due to excavation work. The route of buses 58 and 58B from Itäkeskus to Munkkivuori/Meilahti will change. From 23 April, the buses will run along Muuntajankatu,  Mekaanikonkatu, Laivalahdenkatu and Linnanrakentajantie and serve the "Mekaanikonkatu" (H4174), "Asentajanpuisto" (H4698) and "Työnjohtajankatu" (H4696) bus stops. The buses will no longer serve the "Mekaanikonkatu" (H4175), "Siilitie" (H4010) and "Konemestarinkatu" (H4008) bus stops.
The route change is permanent. According to HSL's Transport Service Plan 2018-2019, bus 58 is rerouted in autumn 2018 to run via Laivalahdenkatu and Mekaanikonkatu in both directions.
