There will be additional services on bus route 16 to the Helsinki Zoo (Korkeasaari) on Friday evenings 7 September and 14 September. In addition, additional services will operate on Wednesday 12 September.
Korkeasaari can also be accessed via the Isoisänsilta bridge from Kalasatama. The bridge is a one kilometer walk from Kalasatama Metro Station and bus stops on Kulosaari bridge. In addition, the terminus of buses 50 and 59 is close to Isoisänsiltä bridge.
Additional services on 7 and 14 September
Additional services will run from the Railway Square (Rautatientori) to Korkeasaari about every 20–30 minutes from 5.20pm along the normal route of bus 16. Additional services from Korkeasaari to the Railway Square will run from 5.57pm along the route of bus 16X. I.e. the bus will not run via Kulosaari from Korkeasaari to the Railway Square and it will not be possible to change from the bus to the Metro at Kulosaari Metro Station. From 11.24pm, the additional services will operate along the route of bus 16. . The zoo will be open 4pm-midnight.

Additional services on Wednesday 14 September
Additional services will run from the Railway Square to Korkeasaari about every 20–30 minutes from 5.17pm along the normal route of bus 16. Additional services from Korkeasaari to the Railway Square will run from 5.44pm along the route of bus 16X. The bus will not run via Kulosaari and it will not be possible to change from the bus to the Metro at Kulosaari Metro Station. The event at the zoo will take place 5pm-11pm.
