Clocks going forward to summer time – changes to public transport on the night of Saturday 30 March

Finland will switch to summer time on the night of Saturday 30 March. The clocks will go forward one hour at 3am on 31 March.

Early morning bus services, i.e. Saturday service will run on winter time. Link to printable timetables

Beginning from Sunday morning service, transport services will operate on summer time.

On route U280, the 4am service from Helsinki (Kamppi) to Veikkola (Nummela and Lohja) will operate on summer time, i.e. the bus will leave at 3am on winter time.

Changes to commuter train services

Commuter trains will depart on winter time until 3am and they will run to their end stations on summer time.

Trains with departure times after 4am will mainly operate on summer time.

On Sunday 31 March, the following trains will however operate on winter time:

  • L trains from Helsinki to Kirkkonummi at 3.08am and 4.08am (i.e. the trains will leave at 4.08am and 5.08am on summer time).
  • N trains from Helsinki to Kerava at 3.21am and 3.51am (i.e. the trains will leave at 4.21am and 4.51am on summer time).
  • T train from Helsinki to Riihimäki at 4.21am (i.e. the train will leave at 5.21am on summer time).
  • The 3.56am T train from Riihimäki will run on summer time, i.e. the train will leave from Riihimäki already at 2.56am on winter time (from Jokela at 4.16am and from Kerava at 4.35am on summer time) and arrive in Helsinki at 5.09am on summer time.

After this, commuter trains will operate a normal Sunday service on summer time.
