There will be exceptions in the service of the school bus services at the start of the school year. For real-time schedules and exact information about the additional departures, please see the Journey Planner.
In Helsinki, the school year will start on Thursday, 8 August, which means that bus 91 will be operating according to the winter schedule as of this date.
In Espoo, the school year will also start on Thursday, 8 August, which means that routes 348 and 349 will operate as of this date. At the same time, the route of bus 349 will change in accordance as the new bus routes are introduced in North Espoo.
Furthermore, additional services for schoolchildren will be available in Espoo on routes 236, 242, 243, 245, 246, 565 and 582.
In Vantaa, the school year will also start on Thursday, 8 August, which means that there will be additional services on routes 433K, 443K, 445T and 737(K) on Thursday and Friday (8–9 August).
In Tuusula, the school year will also start on Thursday, 8 August, at which time Tuusula’s new school bus services 964, 965 and 966 will start operating. However, bus 965 from Hyrylä to Järvenpää will still operate according to the old line system as route 965P on Thursday and Friday (8–9 August). As another exception, route 937 between Nurmijärvi and Hyrylä will return from its summer break for these two days. A whole new route network will be introduced use in Tuusula on Monday, 12 August.
In Kirkkonummi, the school year will also start on Thursday, 8 August. Bus routes 171–173, 181–182 and 901–911 in Kirkkonummi as well as routes 181, 182 and 912–917 towards Siuntio will be operating according to their winter schedules as of Thursday, 8 August 2019.
In Pornainen, the school year will start on Friday, 9 August. Hence, routes 986, 987 and 989 towards Sipoo, Järvenpää and Pornainen will be operating according to their Monday to Friday autumn schedules as of Friday, 9 August. The new routes of the buses will also enter into force at this time. However, bus 987 will stop at Nikkilä bus station and Nikkilä terminal due to its currently valid diversion route on Friday, 9 August.
In Sipoo, the school year will start on Tuesday, 13 August, at which time the operation of routes 982, 984, 992, 993, 994 and 996 in Sipoo will start. Hence, these routes will not operate on Monday, 12 August, regardless of the switch to the winter schedules.
