Changes to bus services 14-29 May as schools reopen

There will be changes to HSL bus services from 14 May when schools reopen for the final two weeks of the school year.

However, buses will mostly continue to operate a reduced summer service despite the reopening of schools. It is unfortunately not possible to fully reinstate winter service but services will be increased to facilitate access to schools. Some school bus routes will be reinstated and will operate a winter service. Moreover, additional carriages will be added to some Coastal Line trains.

With the reduced timetables and fewer services than usual in the winter timetable season, pupils may have to wait longer for a bus and in some cases, normal school bus links cannot be provided. As school-specific arrangements for school hours are still being discussed, it has not been possible to adjust timetables to the needs of individual schools. School bus services will operate until 29 May, i.e. until the end of the spring term.

Timetables for most of the routes are already available in the Journey Planner. All timetables will be updated in the Journey Planner by 9 May. Timetables at stops and PDF timetables will not be updated for the two-week period.
