As the construction of Jokeri light rail line progresses in Maunula, buses will resume running via Pirjontie from Monday 9 November 2020. Trunk route 550 will resume running via Pirjontie instead of Metsäpurontie and the terminus of route 50 will move to Pirkkola Sports Park. There will also be changes to bus stops on Metsäpurontie when the Kuusikkotie bus stops, which have out of service, are reopened and the Vesakkotie stop moves back to its original location. The changes apply to routes 50, 51, 52, 63, 66K, 550 and 552. The routes have been on diversion since 4 March 2019.
Trunk route 550 resumes running along Pirjontie
Trunk route 550 will resume serving the "Maunula" bus stops (H2236 and H2237) on Pakilantie and the "Pirjontie" bus stops (H2231 and H2360) on Pirjontie. The bus will no longer serve the "Maunulanmäki" (H2256 and H2219) stops on Metsäpurontie and "Paanutie" stop (H2234) on Pakilantie.
The "Pirkkola" bus stops, which are temporarily on Metsäpurontie, will be moved back to Pirkkolantie by 9 November if possible.
Terminus of 50 by Suursuo Hospital to move to Pirkkola Sports Park
The terminus of route 50 will move from Suursuo to Pirkkola Sports Park. The bus will no longer serve the "Suursuon sairaala" bus stop (H2259, Suursuo Hospital). The bus will serve the following stops along the new route: "Pirjontie" (H2231 and H2360) on Pirjontie and "Maunulantie" (H2228 and H2229), as well as the "Pirkkola" (H2225 and H2226) stops on Pirkkolantie and the terminus, "Pirkkolan urheilupuisto" (H2230, Pirkkola Sports Park).
Changes to bus stops on Metsäpurontie
When Pirjontie is reopened and bus 550 no longer runs via Metsäpurontie, there will be changes to bus stops on Metsäpurontie. The "Vesakkotie" bus stop (H2220) in the direction of Munkkiniemi will move back to its original location on the other side of the Männikkötie intersection. The stop is served by routes 51, 52 and 552.
In addition, the Kuusikkotie bus stops, which have been closed, will reopen. The stops are served by routes 50, 52, 63, 66K and 552.
