Changes to the timetables of A, L, U, X, Y and I trains from 28 March
Train services will be reduced from 28 March because of the reduced passenger numbers caused by the coronavirus pandemic. The cuts will mainly affect off-peak services.
Train services will be reduced because of the reduced passenger numbers caused by the coronavirus pandemic. The cuts will mainly affect off-peak services. There will be changes to the timetables of A, L, U, X, Y and I trains from 28 March.
The high-frequency hours when A trains run every 10 minutes in the morning and evening will be shortened and the following A trains will be withdrawn:
- From Helsinki Mon-Fri 6.13am, 6.33am, 9.13am, 2.33pm, 6.13pm
- From Leppävaara Mon-Fri 6.16am, 6.36am, 6.56am, 9.36am, 2.56pm, 6.36pm
- Mon-Sun 10.33pm from Helsinki and 10.56pm from Leppävaara
The 10.42pm U train from Helsinki (Mon-Sun) will be replaced by an L train which will depart at 10.33pm.
The 0.33am L train from Helsinki and the 1.37am L train from Kirkkonummi on Friday and Saturday nights will be withdrawn. The trains will run for the last time on the night of 27/28 March.
The 7.23pm Y train (Mon-Fri) from Helsinki and 8.24pm Y train from Siuntio will be replaced by X trains serving the same stations as U trains. The new departure times are 7.19pm from Helsinki and 8.22pm from Siuntio.
The 0.06am I train (Mon-Fri) from Helsinki will be withdrawn. In the future, this train will run only on Friday and Saturday nights. The 0.36am I train (Mon-Sun) from Helsinki will also be withdrawn. The train will run for the last time on the night of 27/28 March.
