Bus routes 79 and 500 will be diverted near Herttoniemi Metro Station from Tuesday 8 June to Thursday 15 July. The buses will run via the Suunnittelijankatu bridge instead of Linnanrakentajantie. Also eastbound buses on route 500 will run via Herttoniemi Metro Station. The diversion is due to excavation work at the junction of Linnanrakentajantie and Laivalahdenkatu.
Bus route 79
Bus 79 will run via the Suunnittelijankatu bridge in both directions instead of the Linnanrakentajantie intersection. Linnanrakentajantie and the "Laivalahdenportti" (H4036) bus stop in the direction of Herttoniemi will not be served. From Suunnittelijankatu, the bus will resume its normal route along Laivalahdenkatu.
The departure stop (bay 10, H4049) at Herttoniemi Metro Station and the other stops in the area will be served as usual. The bus will run around the metro station when arriving at the terminus.
Trunk route 500
In the direction of Itäkeskus
Trunk route 500 will run via Herttoniemi Metro Station also in the direction of Itäkeskus. Instead of running via Linnanrakentajantie, the bus will run from Itäväylä to the metro station and stop at bay 8 (H4040) in front of entrance A in the northern side of the station. Buses serving Laajasalo and Roihuvuori use the same bay.
From the metro station, the bus runs via the Suunnittelijankatu bridge to its normal route along Laivalahdenkatu.
In the direction of Munkkivuori
In the direction of Kalasatama and Munkkivuori, trunk route 500 will run from Laivalahdenkatu to the Suunnittelijankatu bridge. The bus will run past Herttoniemi Metro Station via the Itäväylä slip road. There will be no changes to the stops served by westbound buses. The bus will stop at bay 16 (H4006) at the west end of the metro station as usual.
