Bus route 38 to Uusmäki to be withdrawn and new route 53 to start on 16 August

There will be many changes to bus routes in West Helsinki and, for example, in Uusimäki from 16 August. Bus route 38 (Elielinaukio – Pitäjänmäki – Uusmäki) will be withdrawn. Its service in Uusmäki will be replaced by a new bus route, 53 (Uusmäki – Pitäjänmäki – Pohjois-Haaga – Oulunkylä – Arabia).

There will be many changes to bus routes in West Helsinki and, for example, in Uusimäki from 16 August. There will also be changes to crosstown bus services.

Bus route 38 (Elielinaukio – Pitäjänmäki – Uusmäki) will be withdrawn. It will be replaced by a new bus route, 53 (Uusmäki – Pitäjänmäki – Pohjois-Haaga – Oulunkylä – Arabia), which will provide good interchange in the direction of the city center with trains or two trunk bus routes in Pitäjänmäki. The route will also link with Ring Rail Line at Pohjois-Haaga station.

Bus route 53 will run Monday to Friday. Its operating hours will be longer than those of bus route 38. The main transport link serving Uusmäki is bus route 203 via Leppävaara.

Bus route 59 will serve journeys from Konala to Ruskeasuo and Pasila. Its terminus will move from Pajamäki to Malminkartano. Bus route 39 will be converted into trunk route 30.
