Bus route 40 to be converted into a trunk bus route and extended to Kannelmäki from 16 August

There will be many changes to bus routes in West Helsinki at the start of the autumn timetable season, 16 August. Bus route 40 will be converted into a trunk bus route and extended to Kannelmäki. From 16 August, bus route 41 will run to Pohjois-Haaga station.

There will be many changes to bus routes in West Helsinki at the start of the autumn timetable season, 16 August.

Bus route 40 will be converted into a trunk bus route operated with electric articulated buses. The route will be extended to run from Näyttelijäntie via Kantelettarentie and Kannelmäki station to the end of Pelimannintie.

Trunk bus services do not serve all stops along their routes.

Bus route 40 will no longer run via Kaupintie to Pohjois-Haaga station. From 16 August, Pohjois-Haaga station will be served by bus route 41.

Trunk bus route 40 will also replace bus route 43, which will be withdrawn.

The bus will depart from Elielinaukio from bay 30  on the Postitalo side of the square.
