Some L trains will be replaced by U trains on certain weekday nights between 20 July and 4 August due to track work. In addition, some L trains will be cancelled between Kirkkonummi and Siuntio.
There will also be changes to L train services at night on 12–16 July and 26–30 July. The trains will be replaced by bus between Kirkkonummi and Kauklahti due to improvement works at Jorvas station.Read more about these changes in a separate release.
In addition, there will be changes and cancellations to L, U, E and I trains between 4 August and 19 August due to track works. We will provide more information in closed to the dates.
Changes 20 July-4 August
Tuesday morning 20 July
The 5.03am L train from Helsinki will be cancelled between Kirkkonummi and Siuntio, i.e. there will be no L train from Kirkkonummi to Siuntio at 5.50am.
- Alternative service will be provided by the 5.53am Y train from Helsinki. The train departs from Kirkkonummi to Siuntio at 6.27am.
On the night of Wednesday 21 July
The 0.37am L train from Kirkkonummi will be replaced by U train, which will stop at Ilmala station. The train will not stop at Mäkkylä, Pitäjänmäki and Valimo stations. The train will depart from a different platform than usual at Leppävaara and Huopalahti stations.
- Passengers travelling to the intermediate stations or from the intermediate stations to Helsinki can take, for example, bus 231N or bus 235N to Elielinaukio.
On the night of Thursday 22 July and on the night of Sunday 25 July
The 11.37pm and 0.37am L trains from Kirkkonummi will be replaced by U trains, which will also stop at Ilmala station. The trains will not stop at Mäkkylä, Pitäjänmäki and Valimo stations. At Leppävaara and Huopalahti stations, the trains will depart from different platforms than usual.
- Passengers travelling to the intermediate stations or from the the intermediate stations to Helsinki can take, for example, bus 200, bus 231N or bus 235N to Elielinaukio.
On the night of Monday 26 July
The 0.49am L train from Kauklahti will be replaced by U train, which will also stop at Ilmala station. The train will not stop at Mäkkylä, Pitäjänmäki and Valimo stations. At Leppävaara and Huopalahti stations, the train will depart from a different platform than usual.

On the night of Tuesday 3 August
The 11.03pm L train from Helsinki will be cancelled between Kirkkonummi and Siuntio, i.e. there will be no L train from Kirkkonummi to Siuntion at 11.50pm.
- Replacement bus 182X from Kirkkonummi, from bay 15 at the travel center will depart to Siuntio at 11.59pm.
