There will be many changes to bus routes in West Helsinki as well as changes to crosstown bus routes at the start of the autumn timetable season, 16 August.
A new weekday crosstown bus route 53 will be launched. The bus will run from Arabia via Oulunkylä, Metsälä, Pohjois-Haaga and Pitäjänmäki to Uusmäki.
Between Arabia and Haaga, the bus will replace route 52, which will be withdrawn. Between Metsälä and Konala, bus route 53 will replace bus route 51, which will be withdrawn. In Uusmäki, bus route 53 will replace route 38, which will also be withdrawn.
The new bus route will bring back service to Kivalterintie to the south of Kustaankartano Service Center.
Bus route 53 will run Monday to Friday every 20 minutes about 6am to 6pm.
