Bus route 16 will have additional services to the Helsinki Zoo on the Night of Cats on Fridays and Saturdays 3–4 and 10–11 September. The services will run from Rautatientori to Korkeasaari approximately every 10 minutes from around 5pm.
The additional services from Rautatientori to Korkeasaari will operate under route number 16, along the normal route of bus 16. From Korkeasaari, the additional services will operate under route number 16X. The services will not run via Kulosaari, which means there is no transfer connection to the Metro. The last services from Korkeasaari will leave at 10.10pm on Fridays and at 11.10pm on Saturdays. The timetables can be found in the Journey Planner.
You can also easily get from Kalasatama to Korkeasaari by using the pedestrian and cycling bridge Isoisänsilta that leads from Kalasatama to Mustikkamaa. The bridge gives you a quick access to Korkeasaari when walking from Kalasatama metro station or the “Sompasaari” bus stop on bus route 59.
On the Night of the Cats, Korkeasaari will be open from 10am to 10pm.
