Some K trains to be cancelled between Korso and Kerava in cases of disruptions

Some K trains will have to cancelled between Korso and Kerava in cases of disruptions due to track work in Kerava. In these situations, passengers travelling from Korso to Savio and Kerava stations are advised to take bus 972 or 973. Commuter trains R and Z also provide links via Kerava.  The arrangement is expected to remain in place until Thursday 5 August.

The Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency is installing a new interlocking at Kerava station. Only one track is open for K trains in both directions between Hanala and Kerava.

If there are delays to K trains at Kerava station or to southbound K trains, K trains will be cancelled between Kerava and Korso to avoid more delays and cancellations. In other words, in these situations, K trains will return from Korso to Tikkurila. In these situations, the headways of K trains from Savio and Kerava may be up to 40 minutes.

Bus routes 973 and 972 from Korso to Savio and Kerava depart from bay 14 on Korsontie to the west of Korso station. In Kerava, the buses depart from bay 12 at the bus terminal. In Savio, bus 972 runs along Lehmuskatu and bus 973 along Alikeravantie, i.e. their stops are some distance from the station.

The arrangement is expected to remain in place until Thursday 5 August.
