Update 11 Oct at 3pm: Ferry "Ehrensvärd" is still in dock and m/s Hessu replaces until 12 October

The Suomenlinna service ferry Ehrensvärd is out of use from 6 September to 11 October and is replaced by the replacement ferry M/S Hessu. The replacement ferry has capacity only for 12 passengers and three lorries at a time. M/S Hessu can therefore carry only half as many cars as M/S Ehrensvärd, meaning that the ferry can get crowded from time to time.

Instead of traveling from Katajanokka, passengers are advised to travel to Suomenlinna via the Market Square when M/S Hessu is in traffic, if possible. The service ferry runs between Katajanokka and Suomenlinna once an hour on workdays approximately between 7.30am and 3.00pm.
