Construction work to affect access to platforms 1–4 at Central Railway Station at night from 27 September
The construction of the Kaisa Tunnel will affect the use of platforms 1–4 at Helsinki Central Railway Station in the evening and at night from 27 September. Blasting work will affect passengers using the platforms three times a day, a short period at a time.
The construction of the Kaisa Tunnel will affect the use of platforms 1–4 at Helsinki Central Railway Station in the evening and at night from 27 September.
The platforms will be closed for a short period of time three times a day to ensure passenger safety. Trains will not arrive at platforms 1–4 during the closures.
Blasting will be carried out three times a day Monday to Friday at the following times:
- 10.42pm – 10.47pm
- 0.04am– 0.09am (this time slot is reserved for the works in case the previous time slot is not used)
- 1.40am – 1.50am
- 4.45am – 4.55am
Passengers will be notified of the blasting activities as follows:
- Prior to blasting, an intermittent warning beep will sound, alerting people in the area.
- Traffic wardens will restrict access to the platforms and guide passengers before each blast.
- Please follow the instructions of the traffic wardens for your safety and the safety of others.
