Helsinki City Running Day will take place on Saturday 2 October. The event includes several races. All courses start from next to the Olympic Stadium, where special traffic arrangements will be in place from Friday evening 1 October 6pm until Saturday 2 October 8pm.
Diversion routes on Friday 1 October from 6pm
Bus 8X
Tram replacement bus 8X will be on a lengthy diversion via Vauhtitie, Nordenskiöldinkatu, Topeliuksenkatu and Eino Leinon Katu to the Opera (Mäntymäki).
From Mäntymäki to Arabia, the bus will run via Mannerheimintie to Nordenskiöldinkatu and Vauhtitie.
The bus will serve all stops but the journey time to the Opera will be significantly longer than usual. Delays are likely.
The bus will not serve any stops along the diversion route.
Diversion route of bus 8X from Fri 1 October 6pm to Sat 2 October 8pm
Bus 502
Bus 502 will be diverted to run via Helsinginkatu, Runeberginkatu, Töölönkatu and Eino Leinon katu from Friday 1 October 6pm. The diversion will be in place until 3pm on Saturday 2 October as well as between 5.40pm and 8pm on Saturday.
The bus will not serve the “Töölön kisahalli” (H2064 and H2065) and “Ratikkamuseo” (H1328 and H1329) stops. Instead, the bus will serve the “Ooppera” (H2062 and H1332) stops on Helsinginkatu, along the diversion route.

Diversions to tram routes on Saturday 2 October
Tram route 1
Tram 1 will run to Kolmikulma between 2pm and 3.30pm. The following stops will not be served: “Fredrikinkatu” (H0803 and H0804), “Iso Roobertinkatu” (H0813 and H0814), “Viiskulma” (H0815 and H0816), “Eiran sairaala” (H0442 and H0449), “Perämiehenkatu” (H0444 and H0445) and “Telakkakatu” (H0446).
Tram route 6
Tram 6 will run to the Market Square between 2pm and 3.30pm. The following stops will not be served: “Erottaja” (H0801 and H0802), “Fredrikinkatu” (H0803 and H0804), “Hietalahdentori” (H0807 and H0808), “Telakkapuistikko” (H0830 and H0831), “Munkkisaari” (H0828 and H0829) and “Eiranranta” (H0826 and H0827).
Tram routes 7 and 9
There will be delays to tram routes 7 and 9 in Ruoholahdenranta approximately between 2.10pm and 3.20pm when runners on the first lap of the marathon get to Eerikinkatu.
There may also be delays to other routes.
Bus diversions on Saturday 2 October
Bus 8X
Tram replacement bus 8X will be on the same lengthy diversion as on Friday until 8pm. The bus will run via Vauhtitie, Nordenskiöldinkatu, Topeliuksenkatu andEino Leinon Katu to the Opera (Mäntymäki).

Buses 20 and 30
Buses 20 and 30 will run via Laivurinkatu, Pietarinkatu, Kapteeninkatu, Tehtaankatu and Laivurinkatu to their normal route between 2.15pm and 2.45pm.
The buses will temporarily terminate at at Eira Hospital (stop H1176). The “Eira” stops (H1177 and H1178) will not be served

Bus 22
There will be delays to bus 22 at the junction of Hietalahdenranta and Bulevardi approximately between 2.15pm and 3.30pm.
Bus 502
The diversion route via the Opera will be in place until 3pm. From 3pm to 5.40pm, the bus will take another diversion route via Eläintarha and Töölön tulli. From 5.40pm to 8pm, the bus will follow the diversion route via the Opera.
Between 3pm ad 5.40pm, bus 502 will run via Eläintarha and Töölön tulli along Helsinginkatu, Vauhtitie, Nordenskiöldinkatu, Reijolankatu, Mannerheimintie and Tukholmankatu.
The following stops will not be served: “Töölön kisahalli” (H2064 and H2065), “Ratikkamuseo” (H1328 and H1329), “Linnankoskenkatu” (H1317), “Kirjailijan puisto” (H1318), “Naistenklinikka” (H1320 and H1321) and “Haartmaninkatu” (H1322 and H1323).
The bus will serve all stops along the diversion route.
