New platforms will open at Jorvas station on Thursday 16 September at 8am. Until then, U, L and X trains continue to use the temporary platforms. The temporary platforms will be closed when the new platforms open. Viewed from the temporary platforms, the new platforms are located in the direction of Kirkkonummi station, partly under the Jorvaksentie bridge.
The new station platforms will be fully accessible via ramps from Jorvaksenkaari and Jorvaksenkuja. Accessible interchange between platforms and route from one side of the station to the other is via the new eastern underpass.
Interchange between platforms and access to the platforms is also available via stairs from the Jorvaksentie bridge. More Park & Ride parking spaces have been made available on Myllymestarinkuja next to the station. The new parking spaces and new stairs will open on Wednesday 15 Septembe at 4pm. Finishing works will continue in the area until October.
Stops for train replacement buses to move closed to the train platforms
The stops for train replacement buses will move to Jorvaksenkaari. The new stops located next to the station are called "Jorvaksen asema" (Jorvas station, Ki0339 and Ki0340). Train replacement buses in the direction of Kirkkonummi use the stop on the station side of Jorvaksenkaari (stop Ki0339). In the direction of Espoo, replacement buses use the stop on the other side of the street (stop Ki0340).
The bus stops on Masalantie ("Jorvaksenkuja", Ki0322 and Ki0323) previously used by replacement buses will be served by regular bus routes 171, 172, 173/N and 911. Train replacement buses will no longer serve these stops. There will be no other changes for buses at the Jorvas station.
