A safety device malfunction affects coastal line train services. To ensure as effective operation of services as possible, Fintraffic, the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency, VR and HSL have decided to cancel every other E train on Friday 8 October.

E trains operate a reduced service from 2.30pm. The trains run every 60 minutes. Other train services are running as usual but there may be delays of 5 to 15 minutes to some long-distance trains between Helsinki and Turku.

The service changes apply to the following trains:

Every other E train between Helsinki and Kauklahti is cancelled. The trains rune every 60 minutes from 2.30pm. Trains depart from Helsinki at 57 minutes past the hour, from Kauklahti at 35 minutes past the hour.

From Saturday morning 9 October, trains will run as usual. Check departure times and potential changes in the Journey Planner before your journey.

We advise passengers to allow extra time for their journeys and prepare for potential changes.
