Artic light rail not in service between 13 and 16 December

The Artic light rail will not run between 13 and 18 December due to background system updates carried out by the manufacturer of the vehicle. The light rail will again run as usual from Monday 20 December.

The Artic light rail will not service route 4S, Opera-Market Square, between Monday 13 and Saturday 18 December due to background system updates and testing carried out by the manufacturer of the vehicle.

Information about the light rail vehicle

  • The light rail tram is fully low floor and accessible. The middle section is step-free.
  • Thanks to its innovative chassis, the air-conditioned vehicle has a seating capacity of 78 passengers. The total passenger capacity is 214.
  • The light rail vehicle consists of five modules and it has four swiveling bogies, just like the original Artic tram. The smart control mechanism allows a spacious multi-functional area in the middle that can accommodate six prams or two large wheelchairs. There are also two seats for passengers travelling with guide dogs or pets.
  • The light rail vehicle is 34 meters long and it is bidirectional.
