Update 18 Dec 4.30pm: one lift has reopened at the station.
Lifts are out of service at Hakaniemi Metro Station until further notice due to technical fault. There is no accessible route to the street level at the station.
The lifts are expected to reopen on Monday 20 December.
Accessible routes to/from Hakaniemi
To/from the east
From the east by the Metro to Hakaniemi: take a tram or bus in the direction of the city centre from Sörnäinen. Tram stop (bay 12) is located on Hämeentie about 20 meters in the direction of Hakaniemi from the junction of Hämeentie and Helsinginkatu .
To the eastbound Metro: take tram 6 or 7, or a bus in the direction of Sörnäinen from the Hakaniemi Market Square. At Sörnäinen station, lifts to the Metro are located at entrance B at the Vaasanaukio Square.
To/from the west
From Hakaniemi to the city centre: take a tram or bus in the direction of the city centre from the Hakaniemi Market Square. The easiest access to the Metro is from the Asema-aukio via entrance A at the Central Railway Station Metro Station.
From the city centre and the west of the city to Hakaniemi: take tram 3, 6 or 9 from Kaivokatu (stop is in front of the Central Railway Station) or a bus from Rautatientori to Hakaniemi.
