The refurbishment of entrance C to Herttoniemi Metro Station at the western end of the station will start on Monday 2 May. The entrance is next to Hiihtäjäntie and the stops for buses 500, 510 and 81. The works will not affect access via the entrances from Hiihtomäentie or to/from the platform level.
The work will begin with the construction of temporary stairs on the other side of the lift. The current stairs will be closed when the temporary stairs are completed. During the works, the stairs, walls and ceiling of the entrance will be refurbished.
The works are expected to be completed during summer 2022. The temporary stairs and lift at the western end of the station will remain in use throughout the refurbishment works.
