The Metro will switch to summer timetables on Monday on 20 June. In the summer, morning services from east to west will begin operating earlier than before. Respectively, evening services from west to east will continue to operate longer than before.
During summer, services between Tapiola and Itäkeskus will run every four minutes at peak times. Services will run on the Vuosaari, Mellunmäki and Matinkylä lines at 7.5-minute headways.
We increased the number of services between Matinkylä and Tapiola on weekday and Saturday evenings.
The new timetables for the Metro are available in the Journey Planner as well as in the printable timetables.
Follow information on electronic timetable displays at Matinkylä Metro Station
From Monday 20 June, the turnaround track in Matinkylä will no longer be used. Instead, the metro trains will be turned around by reversing their direction. This means that metro trains to Helsinki will use both tracks and depart one at a time.
Therefore, there may be trains at the station waiting for next services to depart. It is therefore advisable to check the electronic timetable displays at the station to make sure from which track your service will depart.
